We never want costs to stand in the way of quality treatment, which is why we are dedicated to providing our patients with care that is both effective and affordable. Your treatment plan will include a breakdown of all applicable fees, and we will inform you of all costs before treatment is administered. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.
If you have any questions about financing or payment, ask us! We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate you.
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts.
We are preferred providers for Georgia Medicaid, Peach State, Well Care, Amerigroup and most commercial insurance companies.
When you first visit our office, bring your current insurance card with you. If you change insurance companies or join another employer’s plan, please be sure to let us know. If an insurance referral is necessary, please bring the completed form with you to your appointment.
We will fully attempt to help you receive full insurance benefits; however, you are personally responsible for your account, and we encourage you to contact us if your policy has not paid within a reasonable timeframe. If we are not contracted under your insurance, you will be given a copy of services and charges to file with your insurance claim form.
We are honored that you chose The Pediatric Center of Stone Mountain to care for your child(ren). Our experience has taught us that quality medical care begins with good communication. To help explain your financial responsibility to The Pediatric Center of Stone Mountain, we have updated our policy to assist parents and caregivers in understanding the responsibilities that they and their families have for payment for our services.
The Pediatric Center requires that our families promptly pay all charges that are presented to them. In some cases, our fees may be adjusted, based on whether we participate in or accept healthcare plan payments, allowances, or limitations. But, if we present a charge to you, we have taken all adjustments into account and you must still pay the amount remaining. If you are reimbursed directly by a healthcare plan for the cost of your care, you must still pay our charges promptly, whether or not you have received that reimbursement.
If you do not agree with the patient responsibility amounts or reimbursement amounts set by your healthcare plan, this is a matter between you and that plan. We are happy to provide you with factual information about your care and billing to help you discuss this with them, but we still require you to promptly pay the entire charge we present to you, even if your issue with the healthcare plan is not resolved.
We expect that all charges we present to you at a visit will be paid at the time of the visit. This includes, among other things, co-pay amounts healthcare plan deductibles, earlier charges that remain unpaid, and charges for services that are not covered by, or are left over as your responsibility to pay after coverage by healthcare plans.
We may also present charges to you by written statement via the mail, email, phone call, text message or any other possible method of communication. If we do this, we expect that each charge will be paid in full by utilizing our convenient PayPal option on our website at www.the-pediatric-center.com. In addition, you may pay by phone or mail a check for the full amount due the first time it is presented to you. We may send you statements and reminders of charges made and amounts that we believe must be paid, or may call you about the same. We do utilize the service of a third party collection company for past due accounts. By accepting our services, you are consenting to receive these communications.
