Our office will refill a specific group of medications by phone for up to one year after each well-check appointment. These medications are usually initially prescribed with refills and usually also indicate on the directions that they are to be taken "as needed" for specific symptoms listed.
Please call the office and leave a voicemail for the phone nurse with all of the necessary information including who is calling, the patient's name, date of birth, and a phone number where we can reach you about the medication. There are some medications that we monitor more closely, such as Albuterol for asthma, and may recommend an office visit to review your child's progress in case additional medications would be appropriate. Higher risk medications such as the controlled substances prescribed or AD/HD require ongoing monitoring and have special procedures for refills.
